Long Kurta – Mix and Match Of Kala Cotton and Kalamkari

Kala cotton is indigenous to Kachchh and organic, as the farmers do not use any pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. It is a purely rain fed crop. This is a Kalamkari, block-printed cotton top. Only natural dyes are used in Kalamkari, which involves twenty-three steps. Process of making Kalamkari fabric, involves 23 steps. This involves bleaching Kalamkari fabric, softening it, drying it in sun, preparing natural dyes, air drying and washing.
