Panihari 2 – Hand Embroidered wall hanging

Description

This work has been created as a tribute to the ladies of Kutch, who travel long distances to fetch water in their colorful attires amidst the arid heat and simultaneously create such beautiful craft of hand-embroidered clothes with Kutchi embroidery. Embroidery is a  Kutchi/Rabari work, which is a highly structured embroidering method. Involves at the starting points of this interlacing method, the initial task in ‘Kutch Work’ is to create the outline design using ‘Cretan stitch’ or ‘Herringbone stitch’. When this primary job is completed, the gap is packed with interweaving stitches which results in beautiful embroidery work.

Washing Instructions – Hand Wash only in cold water with mild detergent. Do not wring or bleach. Dry flat in shade.
